The strange case of Dr. Jekill and Mr Hyde

For older children, here is an illustrated story, published in 2002 by Nathan, which retains its strength and its current philosophy.

It's "the strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" by Robert Louis Stevenson. The theme of modern sorcerer here is brought vividly. The adaptation is made is particularly careful. Shadow and light of leux, lags situations and treatment of the plot are expressed here with great efficiency and elegance.

We learn eventually that the experiments of Dr. Jekyll created his evil double in Mr Hyde. And when Hyde is trying to become Jekyll, unable to find the right formula of its mixture, it kills to escape the police while the good Dr. Jekyll dies in turn.

The battle of good and evil, old myth of humanity, is handled through the album in a masterly outstanding. And the beautiful illustrations by Ludovic beautifully Debeurme make the strangeness of the story.

No doubt this album seduce young readers and adults.
